airplane the Spirit of St. Louis.
Lindberg can be considered to be the most important pioneer
in aviation and the world best known pilot. After
surviving 4 crashes he was considered a lucky pilot. His
Pan American Airlines aviation friend Sam Prior encouraged
Lindberg to move to Kipahulu Maui Hawaii. Lindberg died in
Kipahulu August 26th 1974. Sam and Charles are buried in
the beautiful grounds of the limestone coral church Palapala
Ho'omau in Kipahulu.
The plane is scrimmed on beautifully grained head keys.
